We students should unite to ask for our basic rights, yes the university has the right to test us but it also has the responsibility to teach us and make sure we're safe first.

The online learning process has not properly started yet, we have not been contacted or informed about the contents of those tests by our professors or tutors and the world health organization has not deemed it safe yet to gather in such numbers in a confined space for the midterm exams.

Despite all of that the faculty of engineering has decided to ignore all sense and reason, and announce that the midterm exams would start after 2 weeks amidst the worldwide panic and cries for social distancing.

By doing so not only did they show how little they regarded our lives as students, but also how they are willing to test us regardless of the failure of their online education system, so instead of admitting they were not prepared for such a crisis they insist that they had everything under control and that they have the capabilities necessary for conducting such an examination for hundreds of students per subject without any risk of infection.

So we urge them to stop this toxic attitude of education above all including students' wellbeing and:

1. provide us with a proper online education system and make sure it's accessible by all students, one that has online lectures and quizzes, not some pdf files uploaded online.
2. Recognize that conducting a test for hundreds of students can't be done safely under the current circumstances and resort to other forms of assessment that doesn't involve gatherings like oral or online testing.

نحن كطلاب يجب علينا ان نتحد للمطالبة بحقوقنا الاساسية، نعم ان الكلية لديها الحق لاختبارنا، ولاكن عليها تأدية واجباتها تجاهنا اولا سواء تدريسيا او المحافظة علي سلامتنا .

لم تبدأ عملية التعليم الاونلاين حتي الآن و لم يتم التواصل معنا او ابلاغنا عن محتويات تلك الامتحانات سواء من الدكاترة او المعيدين ، و لم تقر منظمة الصحة العالمية بان تجمعات بمثل هذه الاعداد في مكان مغلق مثل اللجان قد تكون آمنة اطلاقا بل نهت عنها، و علي الرغم من كل ذلك قررت كلية الهندسة تجاهل كل هذه الاسباب و اعلنت ان امتحانات الترم الثاني ستقام بعد اسبوعين وسط حالات الذعر و الترقب في جميع انحاء العالم.

مما وضح انهم لا يكترثون لصحة و حياة الطلبة و ان لديهم الاستعداد لاختبارنا بغض النظر عن فشل نظام التعليم الاونلاين، و بدل من الاعتراف بانهم لم يكونوا مستعدين لمواجه هذه الازمة اصرو علي ان كل شئ علي ما يرام و ان لديهم القدرة اللازمة لاجراء الامتحانات لمئات الطلاب بدون اي مخاطرة بنشر الفيروس.

لذلك نطالب بان تعدل الكلية من هذا السلوك الاستهتاري و ان تأخذ الازمة الراهنة علي محمل الجد و تقوم بالآتي:

• توفير للطلاب نظام تعليمي مناسب في متناول الجميع الوصول له، و بنظام تعليمي اعني محاضرات مسجلة و اختبارات عبر الانترنت و ليس رفع بعض الملفات.
• ان تعترف بخطورة اختبار مئات الطلاب في لجان مغلقة، و انه لن توجود وسيلة آمنة بنسبة ١٠٠٪ لفعل ذلك، في الاوضاع الراهنة، و اللجوء الي الاشكال الاخري لتقييم الطلاب التي لا تتطلب التجمعات الطلابية و منها الشفوي و الاونلاين.
