Rename Flacq Hospital as Dr Bruno Cheong Hospital

Rename Flacq Hospital as Dr Bruno Cheong Hospital
In remembrance of Dr Bruno Cheong, it is hereby proposed to rename the Flacq Hospital to Dr Bruno Cheong Hospital. Dr Bruno Cheong died from complications arising from #COVID19 after he came in contact with Patient Zero in Mauritius. Dedication and excellence have been the hallmarks of his work.
Prior to being hospitalised, Dr Bruno Cheong worked at the Flacq Hospital as well as Clinique Fortis Darne and Wellkin Hospital. In fact, during his long and illustrious career, he has made the rounds to virtually all the Regional Health Centres on the island. Dr Bruno, as he was known, also had a large and loyal private practice.
It is also perhaps appropriate to mention that the Flacq Hospital was built thanks to the financial assistance from the People's Republic of China. Such a gesture would thus serve to strengthen the bond between the two friendly nations during these testing times.
Therefore, as a tribute to this frontliner who worked fearlessly and tirelessly in the fight against the #coronavirus, we humbly request the government of Mauritius to rename the Flacq hospital in his honour.
