Close Bodrum Dolphin Park

There's still hope for the captive marine mammals in Bodrum, Mugla, Turkey! Newly elected mayor, Ahmet Aras, can not only be the beginning of a new era for Bodrum, but also a symbol of freedom for the animals held captive in Bodrum Dolphin Park. To achieve this objective, we are mobilizing once again together with Freedom for Dolphins Platform (Yunuslara Özgürlük Platformu) and Bana Göz Kulak Ol Association (BGKO). In the meantime, we will need your support more than ever!

This place is not in the least fitting for Bodrum, a town aiming to become a “world destination”, and styled as the “civilized and enlightened face of the future”!

In the seas around Bodrum, it is possible to see wild dolphins, turtles and even the Mediterranean monk seal; and Bodrum should be identified with its natural and cultural assets – not with a universally-boycotted dolphin circus that torments dolphins and other marine mammals.

That's why we demand the urgent and permanent closure of the Bodrum Dolphin Park in Guvercinlik, Bodrum, Muğla, and the protection of captive animals in line with the article 24 of Turkish Animal Protection Law no 5199.

Please be a voice for freedom, and help Bodrum Dolphin Park become the 3rd dolphinarium to close in Turkey by signing and sharing our petition! Together we can stand up against the cruelty of captivity, in which the animals are trained with hunger and violence, and set them free!

Because every living being deserves to be free and has the right to live freely in their natural environments...
