Lets keep this cause going, lets not give up. Since starting this petition I spoke to three different ministers and the Head of Citizenship. After I forwarded it to Minister Batshu he then tabled a motion that was still not satisfactory. They were only making a provision for batswana women married to foreigners. Ha o le monna kana o sa nyalwa be o tshola ngwana o le ko nte ga botswana what happens to your child. Gompeino this proposed Blue Card takes away our Tswana heritage completely. With it you cannot have Omang, neither your spouse nor child qualifies for this card. What happens should you be sick that you would need specialists and are faced with expensive bills while in Botswana.Who will pick up that bill? Jaanong are re bueng ka go apolaela ditsha, which is the right of every motswana. You need a valid Omang go apolaya. So there goes ditsha, gone for Blue Card holders. What about CEDA access? Will you be eligible as a Blue Card holder? These are just a few examples
We need dual citizenship to be made available to all Batswana including children born outside Botswana to all Batswana nationals. Batswana a re se lebaleng gore puso ya rone e ne ya hetsola melao gore the former President Ian Khama a buse, mme a ne a sa tsholelwa mo Botswana ebile le melao ka nako e a neng a bewa Tautona e ne e sa lete. Le rona re le Batswana jaaka ene, re na le tokela ya gore bana ba rona ba tsoge ba ipela ka their parent's hertitage. Le go busa ha ba bata ba buse! This Blue Card will prevent any possibility of that.
