Blank Month : No upcoming EMI’s, No Fixed Deposit interest and extending year ending date.
The Issue
With the Covid 19 scare, the Central Government and many State Governments have implemented lockdowns/curfew and temporary closure of many or nearly all business establishments . Salaries may be delayed as businesses have come to a complete stand still.
All statutory due dates for filing of returns be postponed till 30th June 2020 and Bank EMI’s should also be postponed to 30th June 2020. The credit score should not be hampered in case any extension is granted. Let us have a blank month. No EMI’s and No interest on Fixed Deposit. Before taking up any such help, customers, business or personal, would be wise to get it in writing from the bank that it won't harm their credit records.
Royal Bank of Scotland in United Kingdom has allowed people affected by the coronavirus outbreak to defer mortgage and loan repayments for up to three months. This is designed to allow people to access cash if they need it as the impact of the virus is felt.Banks are also announcing extra support for affected businesses. Cases of mortgage repayment holidays are being taken on a case-by-case basis, and the length of any suspension can vary between banks.
