Stop destruction of Aravali
0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!
The Haryana government is hell bent on the destruction of the Aravali green belt through its move to "limit" the definition of Aravali to a small percentage of land spanning Gurugram and Alwar. Needless to say, these have already been much exploited and eroded in the name of housing and commercial development.
How much more can we allow the government to plunder these precious forest covers? And what are we willing to live with if this happens? Soaring temperatures, high dust levels, huge particle matter that refuses to go away due to lack of wind and rain (also the results of deforestation)...the list of problems we are already facing is huge and it will only grow if the government has its way.
Delhi/NCR folks, please raise your voice against this intent of the Haryana Government, else with the Faridabad green cover eroded, we all will be sitting in the middle of a desert soon with scant water, no animal life, and rising heat and dust!
Don't sit silent this once.
