Collective action for a pollution-free Delhi

Collective action for a pollution-free Delhi
The Issue
The air quality of Delhi has deteriorated alarmingly in the past few years. We have increasingly created an environment that is toxic and hazardous for us and our children. A decade ago, one couldn't have imagined that in 2016, it's going to be difficult to breathe in Delhi.
If such a state of affairs continues then this city has no future. Delhi looks like a Holocaust city, smog enfeebling the sun to a blur, lungs coughing; the haze enwrapping the city in a heavy, dark, deathly gloom.
I hope, we the people of Delhi, along with the Government of Delhi and Government of India, can change this state of affairs. And whatever needs to be done for that - from banning or streamlining truck/lorry/heavy transport movement in Delhi, to bringing strict norms to reduce traffic; to banning/relocating polluting industries and more.
Remember a country, a nation, a people, a city cannot survive and prosper if they don't have VISION - An eye on the FUTURE, along with a happy, clean, safe NOW. If we cannot provide a safe, clean, prosperous and pollution-free environment for ourselves and the generations to come then all we are doing is to contribute in a collective suicide.
I hope we can wake up!
