On December 20th, 2019 our fur baby Gord was killed in a snare illegaly placed near our yard. The legal distance is currently 500m.  I am looking to have this distance increased to a minimum of 2 miles.  Baited traps lure farm dogs in regularly, 500m is just too close!  There are some trappers who will not set traps up at the request of the home owners but in the case of Hank the Kangal this was not the case on January 18 Katie Apland lost her beautiful boy, she had asked her neighbor not to place the traps but he decided he would anyways.  I am asking that we increase the distance for one, and trappers need to take dog owners opinions into consideration.
