Lodwar is first growing, businesses have thrived and households have been established in Lodwar town. We are the brink of loosing the once beautiful streets of Lodwar and other towns due to increased dumping of garbage along the streets, arguably most of the garbage consists of Plastic bags and containers, the manufacturers of the plastic materials can not stop producing them;it is there business if anything, but this is at the expense of the final consumers, I therefore urge you to consider making regulations on how the use of plastic bags and containers should be used in Lodwar and major towns in Turkana County, In addition there needs to be proper disposal of the garbage.

I suggest that the Ministry concerned comes up with a draft that will go ahead to regulate use of plastic bags in Turkana County as a whole, involve environmental experts and then let the able County Assembly pass it to an Act and then law eventually.
