Stop Illegal Modern Arms Industry of Munger by Nationalising its Expert Arms Factories.
The Issue
Recent news reports in National and International bulletins have brought the public attention towards the rising Indian Illegal Arms Industry in Munger [Bihar] which is now supplying arms to various terrorist groups and many attacks in many sensitive areas of the country which is a concern to our internal security.

Reasons for my request for the Nationalisation to MoD are::
1. Since Mir Qasim (Nawab of Bengal from 1760-63) shifted his capital to Munger and set up an arms factory here so gunmaking is traditional here.
2. Gunmakers of Munger are making guns of seemingly high quality which is fueling Naxalites, Gangsters, Terrorists, Anti-social elements, Local gangwars and many other social evils which needs to be stopped.
3. Guns made now in Munger are not only old Katta and Tamancha but latest Derringer, Berretta, Colt, Webley & Scott, Smith and Wesson Revolvers and Pistols which is a significant improvement over the old ones.
4. These modern firearms are not only cheap but high in quality comparable to the US arms of the same category. These may have some defects but still they are very much in demand for their performance which needs to be regulated.
5. These arms are supplied to West Bengal to New Delhi and UP and many other areas for committing various crimes which needs to be stopped to make people's life secure and safe.
6. Most striking feature is that these gunmakers are making these guns from scrap material and other residual metals just because they are perfect in making such arms for centuries and they have no other alternative employment.
If these gunmakers are given standard gun making jobs after a little training then much of their traditional indigenous metal making "Wootz" metallurgical knowledge and gunpowder making processes can be harnessed by the Indian Govt. rather than implicating them into the illegal arms law, they must be given one chance to make up their lives better by making the arms sector of Munger organised and under the supervision of Ministry of Defence, Govt of India.
We encourage you to sign this petition addressed to the Honorable Mr. AK Antony, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India urging him to nationalise the arms industry of Munger and give jobs to experts in arms making.
LET US REDIRECT GUNMAKERS OF MUNGER TO HELP NATIONAL DEFENCE RATHER THAN CRIMINALS AND TERRORISTS !!!
Thanks
