During the ongoing corona crisis, we have to be responsible in order to stop the spread of this pandemic. As a result, the government of India has announced a 21 days lockdown which by the way is a great move form their side. People all over the country be it a celebrity, a politician, a working professional, all have embraced this decision and are staying and working from home.

But for the people in Jammu and Kashmir, the story is a bit different. Still, 4G services have not been restored and we have no option other than using the internet at reduced bandwidth. This reduced bandwidth is a major problem for the people who have to work from home.

I am also working from home and even after having a broadband connection I face connectivity issues on a daily basis. The internet speed itself gets reduced after connecting to a corporate VPN. Now I understand that the load is high as most of the people are indoor browsing internet, uploading and downloading content and therefore I am not blaming any broadband/network provider.

The same is for the local businesses, shop owners, students, everyone is facing this problem to some extent.

So my appeal to you(the reader) is to please sign this petition and share this as much as possible so that the authorities may hear us.

And my appeal to the government is to please restore highspeed internet in Jammu.
