Whenever a private sector employee of manufacturing/ automotive sector wants to change job for his career progression, he has to serve a notice period of 3 months.

Prospective employer, may not be interested in hiring such person as they may have their pressing need.

In the process, current employer either refuses to relieve before notice period or deduct 3 months salary / leaves , thus making employee exploit in their hands and employer comfortably reduces their payout due towards employee.

Such employee, during notice period, may not work as dedicated as he was. So current employer also looses productivity.

Prospective employer has to wait too long and thus their plans also suffer.

We request honorable minister Mr Ravishankar Prasad, to inact certain law to bring down this notice period from 3 months to 1 month.
