Under the new Guide Dog and Service Dog Act only programs with ADI or IGDF accreditation will be certified by the Ministry. However certain programs that were operating before the laws were in place have been grandfathered in. Leash of Hope (LOH) was left out, even though we have been in operation for almost two years. 

We are currently in the process of getting ADI accreditation but it is a lengthy and costly process. We want the government to provide Leash of Hope with accreditation while we await ADI so we can continue to train and match rescue dogs with individuals striving for independence beyond their disabilities.
