Dear CIAO Rights supporters,

Here is a short CIAO Rights petition made on the UK Parliament's e-petition site.

My petition:

De-criminalize adult consensual incest (ACI) for over 21s

If ACI could result in harm to individuals or society, it would be fairer, less cruel and cheaper to respond to the possibility with harm reduction strategies ( i.e. genetic testing, optional abortion) than with criminalization and prison sentences. It would also bring UK law more in compliance with UN Charter / UDHR obligations.

The UK petition system has a number of  hurdles to get through to make it tough to  set up a petition.

"Once we’ve gained the required number of supporters, the UK parliament  will check the petition to make sure it meets the petition standards. If it does, they’ll publish it."

"Once the petition has 21 signatures it won’t be able to add more until it’s been checked by the petitions team. So, please wait until it’s been checked and published before sharing it more widely."

So if I  gave  you the link to  sign now,  and you all signed, only  5 signatures would be counted.
