Dear Ciao Rights supporters.

I hope you are well. I am sorry it has been so long since I last gave you an update.
It has been just over six months since the French petition was delivered to the French Minister of Justice, in Paris around mid-October. I hope there will be a letter from her department soon to say it has arrived and it is being looked at.
This new virus is a good opportunity for government bureaucracy to slow down a bit, so we must expect longer than the normal delay. Though I am thinking it could be nice to pay them another visit later this year, it might be a wasted effort if the first petition has gained attention and a reply arrives here just after I depart for there. However, should an entire year go by, (i.e. another six month) with still no reply, I think another trip could definitely be justified, especially if the restrictions on travel are lifted. Hopefully by October we will know more.
I am sorry that I don't have any good news about that petition. If any of you have a bit of time on your hands, it would be good of you if you could spend some time sending the petition out to your contacts on social media again. There's always a possibility that some people may have changed their minds since last time you approached them, and just needed one more nudge to get them to sign.
Oh I forgot to mention, 28th of April is now officially International Consanguinamory Day!
It is double the love of 14th February! You might like to show show solidarity with Ciao Rights and Consang people by putting up a 'Lilly Flag' (see top left of the Kindred Spirits home page. https://ks2016.forumactif.fr/
Thank you for all your support!
Best wishes to all! Stay healthy. Stay Safe, and if you can, stay home!

Good Luck!  Ciao!

Richard
