To get the law changed in  Australia,  we apparently need to start with  a state, and get ACI de-criminalized first as only the Federal Government can change the marriage law.

A member of the parliament Upper House is needed to present the petition to parliament, so we  must get  a reasonable number of signatures to impress  him or her a little. If people from  outside NSW  want to sign,  I think that is fine,  because after all, it is a  Change.org petition. the point is to  try and  make  positive change in the appropriate way. Any politician with an iota of honesty and respect for liberty and equality  will  want to support us, but first of all, we  need to support us:-)
