Save Misericordia Urgent Care

On April 7, 2017 the Manitoba government announced several health facility closures one of them being Misericordia Urgent Care.  In the heart of the city Misericordia Urgent Care serves over 100 patients every day.  On April 3rd of this year, 143 people were treated at this facility alone.  People from River Heights, Wolseley, the West End, Broadway North, Broadway South and Osborne have all relied on the services of Misericordia Urgent Care.  From sore throats and minor cuts to mental health crises, miscarriages, stab wounds, and broken bones, Misericordia Urgent Care has been open 24 hours a day 7 days a week helping those in need. With its doors forcibly closed by our government many people in these neighbourhoods will have nowhere to go for their urgent health needs.  Our already taxed paramedic service and busy Health Science Centre, Children's and St. Boniface ERs will be overflowing with patient needs thus requiring huge amounts of funding support.  It just doesn't make sense.  Please sign the petition to our Health Minister Kelvin Goertzen to save Misericordia Urgent Care and help people who rely on its services.
