Good day, friends
I am presenting an update on the petition for testing local food for glyphosate.
Link: https://www.change.org/p/let-municipalities-test-food-for-glyphosate?
This petition was is conceptualized with two goals in mind:
i) to get low level local governments in multiple nations to start using public funds to test local food for glyphosate content for the people,
ii) to generate a grassroots movement of people everywhere to learn to let their local representatives understand the power of the people in numbers. This would perhaps help the people solve more similar issues that are present now and would come up in future, beyond and besides glyphosate or herbicides.
The 5 minute video updates the status of this new petition, explains how it is slowly spreading across Canada and south of the border into Washington State, USA and beyond, including in countries such as UK, Australia and India.
This update also requests supporters and like minded people to help us identify and enter more decision makers into the petition.
A decision maker is a public servant who might be in a position to allocate some public funds in local governments such as municipalities, and start testing some local foods - food that is grown locally and/or sold locally, for presence of glyphosate, for the people.
The petition will be only as good as the public servants who gets notified by the petition, through email, about people’s wish, and is asked to respond by initiating the food testing scheme.
Therefore, we need a widening number of identified decision makers. We need your support to find them.
The current list of 70 such people already entered into the petition can be found at : http://www.tonu.org/tonu/MyFiles/MF024_Decision_Maker.pdf
Six are from the US, two from India, and 62 from Canada.
This update is to ask you all to help get more decision makers added to the list. I need the following details for each person:
a) name
b) rank and organization
c) email
These details may be sent to me at tony.mitra@gmail.com
Please help if you can
