Northern Health is the only health authority in BC without life saving cardiac services. The operating rooms in Prince George are outdated and our cardiac patients are on stretchers in the hallways instead of in a CCU. The current government has not shown a commitment to invest in these desperately needed services.  It is time to act and start holding our Health Minister accountable for building the new surgical tower and cardiac treatment centre promised to the North. 

80% of Canadians live within 120 minutes of a cardiac lab while Northerners wait days or weeks to travel to the lower mainland. The Minister of Health has not delivered on his promise and yet so many lives depend on it.
