Many of the issues below we have previously highlighted. TRANSPARENCY •Why has AHAR not got 'change of use' planning permission to be a rescue despite being at their current location for 4 years? •Why are AHAR keeping animals in the arena which is deemed unfit to house animals? •Why don’t AHAR have proper waste disposal for animal waste? •Why has AHAR not advised supporters of major planning issues? •Why have no proper kennels been built? •Despite funds raised, why has a specially equipped rescue stable with a hoist, lift, sling and padded walls not been built? •What has happened to the money that was donated for it? •Why has AHAR failed to mention that they no longer get dogs from the pound? •Why has there been a moratorium on the movement of equines in and out of AHAR? •Why has AHAR claimed that equines are not at risk during a major equine crisis in Ireland? •Why are no funds being raised for the 50 horses AHAR claim to have? •Do they no longer need food, farrier or veterinary care? ACCOUNTABILITY •Why do AHAR not update on the majority of animals? •Why don’t AHAR publish their accounts online? The founder and current manager has said in print that she is happy to do so? •What has happened to the money in the legal fund set up by the former Chair? •How are the Trustees appointed? •Why does AHAR have such a high turnover of Trustees? TRUST •Is it acceptable for a charity to mislead donators with fake rescues? - CODE RED scams •Is it acceptable raising funds by false pretenses - eg the CODE RED scams, the fundraisers which raised money for specific items which never materialised. •Why does AHAR not answer questions and block people? We have seen examples of what people were blocked for - reasonable questions. •Why has AHAR not been honest and up front with showing named and itemised vet bills? AHAR rely on donations from the public. Transparency, Accountability & Trust are vital for consumer confidence - lack of these are MAJOR red flags.
