During the RTÉ documentary into AHAR one of the many issues highlighted was the CODE RED appeals. This was a regular money making ploy utilised by AHAR until exposed by RTÉ. What AHAR claimed happened, to justify themselves when caught out on this lie after the first RTÉ programme aired, was that the equines were already at AHAR and if not enough money was raised the equines would have to be sent back to the "meat man". That in itself would have been a good enough appeal. Why did AHAR chose to lie? A lie which they have since admitted to with their justification. (to watch excerpt please click on the photo) However, how AHAR presented the CODE RED appeal on Facebook was each equine was 'rescued' and TRANSPORTED to AHAR as the funds rolled in, as if a live rescue. This is despite the fact that the horses were already safely at AHAR - misleading the public. As has been shown in other videos this was a calculated ruse playing on people's goodwill and emotions.
