Read the underlined sections first to get the general gist of this story. In 2010 Suzanne Gibbons put a mare in foal that would have been 23 years old at the time. In general, as a blatantly obvious rule, rescues don't breed animals. Especially not a 23 year old mare! Reading between the lines, you will see the usual flowery fairy story designed to make people go Aaaaaaaaaaw!!!! But it is also confusing for the very people whose heart strings are being pulled at because on one hand Suzanne says that she is giving the mare (Jill) the foal that she always wanted......and ooooops the all kind, all loving Suzanne decided to split them up, saying she was going to keep the foal and re-home Jill. If she wanted an actual REAL fairytale type ending why not have Jack gelded and appeal for a forever home for the two of them TOGETHER? Where is Jill now Suzanne? There never was an update on Jill. Did you ever visit her as promised after you got what YOU wanted from her (Jack)? And where is Jack? He would be around 5 years old by now. He was never again mentioned on the Ahar page. Was he ever used for fundraising as is suggested in the old screen shot? Other Ahar long term fundraising residents such as 'Passion' feature regularly on the page..... why not Jack?
