Lions are one of the most popular animals in South Africa. They are a part of not just our Big Five, but our heritage. That's why it's up to US to stop the apparently LEGAL farming of them.

Lions are being exploited and brutally held captive all over the country, being slaughtered and exported to Asian countries for the use of their meat and bones which are believed to have unique healing "powers". One of the most sickening parts of all this is that there's NOTHING being done by our country as a whole to stop it. It's been made legal since the new trend by officials was started by believing that taking the PRIDE of our country, cramming them into tight cages, killing them and exporting them for superstitious beliefs is a sufficient way for country to "thrive".

As South Africans we should feel very strongly about this situation and be furious that our own people are doing this to our poor lions. This is OUR time to show them all that we have the power and combined strength to overcome this disgusting wrongdoing. 

We need YOUR help to raise awareness and draw attention to this obvious problem. Wild animals are wildlife, NOT entertainment. Together, one person at a time, this cruel practice will be made illegal. This affects us all through being South African. Our PRIDE is being stripped from us and WE need to take it back !
