MV Gallipoli is more than just a ferry service, its the life line for the people of Ramea and Grey River. With the Gallipol being replaced by the Sound of Islay emergency response time drastically increases.

• Crossing Times:
• Ramea-Burgeo approximately 1 hour 20 minutes
• Ramea-Grey River approximately 1 hour 20 minutes
• Grey River-Burgeo approximately 3 hours

If the Sound of Islay replaces the Gallipoli an extra 30 minutes minimum would be added to these crossings, drastically reducing any emergency response times....

The Bell Island ferry crossing is only 20 minutes as indicated on the Department of transportation and works website.  20 Minutes is shorter than the length of time that will be added to the Ramea, Burgeo and Grey River schedule if the Sound of Islay replaces the Gallipoli. It is imperative that the Gallipoli remain where it is to provide the residents of these towns with the essential services they require!!!
