Last week, Home Office Minister, Victoria Atkins MP, told Parliament that the government needs yet another review of civil partnerships in order to gauge demand amongst mixed-sex couples. Of course, we know from your messages and the whopping 25,000 increase in petition signatures in the last week alone (taking it to over 115,000 signatures in total!) how much the choice of a civil partnership means to you - especially if you’re one of the 3.3 million unmarried cohabiting couples without legal status or financial protection.
