With the announcement by Paul Toole MP, RMS, Joe McGirr MP and Wes Fang MLC that their solution to the traffic congestion and safety issues for the northern precinct, is to place traffic lights both sides of the Gobba bridge is a ludicrous and short sighted concept in relation to this matter. 

This design is lazy incompetent design at best and will create more issues than solve.

These politicians and bureaucrats claim it is in response to community consultation, that comment is insulting and typical. The proposed solution is will create massive car parks on the highway and every feeder road, increase congestion and does nothing for traffic flow or plan for the future proofing of increased volumes.

These are the same politicians and bureaucrats that have relentlessly promoted increased industry at the Bomen Freight hub bringing a proposed 6000 job, a massive boost in industry, housing and allied development to the North.

All on top of the current 20 000 vehicle movements per day. Send them ALL a clear message that their proposal is unacceptable and ludicrous.

Tell them to start taking notice of the people who actually understand their own neighbourhood.
