Philip Cairns disappeared on his way back to school after lunch on 23 October 1986.

He has not been sighted since leaving his house on Ballyroan Road on that date and several lines of enquiry followed up by the Gardaí have drawn a blank over subsequent years.

Recently, additional information has been made public via Social Media which appears to be highly credible and could explain what actually happened all those years ago.

This petition calls for this information to be investigated thoroughly by the Gardaí and, if they choose not to, the reasons should be laid out fully.

There are too many families in this country left grieving their loved ones that need closure.  Philip Cairns is one case out of many and it is difficult to understand why information of this detail and relevance when it is presented goes uninvestigated.
