Over the last weeks and months, there has been a pronounced increase in the reported level of anti-social behaviour, break-ins, vandalism and general crime in Dalkey and surrounding areas. 

As local residents we have had enough. We have a right to feel safe in our homes and secure in our community. Action needs to be taken to ensure Dalkey remains a great place to live, work and raise a family.

We are calling on the Minister for Justice to examine the re-opening of Dalkey Garda Station and to commit, at minimum, to an increase in the number of community Gardai walking the streets of Dalkey and surrounding areas to deter crime and build good relations with local residents.
