Ennis, the county town of Clare has a population of over 25,000 people its hospital services a county population of over 120,000 people yet we have no Accident & Emergency department and no model 3 hospital, Clare patients are being sent to UHL which is understaffed and unable to cope with the combined populations of Clare, Limerick & North Tipperary and we need our A&E back where it belongs at the centre of its community in a Model 3 hospital serving the people of county Clare.

We have an international airport in our county and no Emergency department within the recommended radius of the airport to respond to a major incident in Shannon.

A population on the Wild Atlantic Way from Loop Head to Ballyvaughan who have to travel well over the "golden hour" for services in Limerick.

UHL has consistently topped the INMO Trolley watch figures and the figures are getting higher year on year, this is not the "Centre of Excellence" we were promised, and people in Clare are now afraid to attend Limerick hospital and that is just not good enough in 2019!

Ennis needs to be upgraded to Model 3 with Cardiac care and Intensive Care restored along with a 24hr A&E / ED

We have watched our health services being diminished by the HSE with downgradings and closures of services in our community, enough is enough its time to say NO! We will not sit idly by while more of our friends sit on trolleys, we will not sit idly by while our elderly are afraid to attend a hospital, we will not sit idly by and watch our family members languish on trolleys and die on hospital corridors! Re-open Ennis A&E Now!
