In late April 2013 Training Ship (TS) Sirius was set alight by vandals, severly damaging the premises at Kyeemagh, at which they parade.  

TS Sirius has operated within the St George & Sutherland Shire for more than 65 years. Following the fire, the Australian Navy Cadets (ANC) want to move the Unit away from its home base. If this is allowed to happen, a massive reduction of Cadets would occur and most likely local RSL and like organisations, who have given them financial support over many years, will now find it a lot more difficult to find funds, due to the fact, that they have moved out of their funding area.   

So why would the community care about this?

TS Sirius has for many years, provided a location for youth development, assisting  local RSL's, at commerative events and teaching the basic building blocks of our community, Honour, Honesty, Courage, Integrity and Loyalty.

Therefore it is imperative to move TS Sirius back to its home for the continuation of the unit for its future endeavours. ONLY the community can save this unit! THAT MEANS YOU!!

PLEASE HELP US CONVINCE THE MINISTER TO LOOK INTO THIS MATTER.
