Neutering Funds

Neutering Funds

The Issue

This is Bruce. He was run over just as soon as I was trapping him to take him to his new foster home. This petition is for Bruce and many others like him. Now the idea of 'Kill Shelters' might be introduced in the near future; cats who are not adopted over a certain period of time will be euthanised. We cannot let this be the future of our strays

Over the past few months, feeders and fosterers have been struggling with the over-population of stray cats and kittens that are on the streets, some of which are being abandoned from previous homes and need to fend for themselves in this summer heat. Cats are suffering from heatstroke, have medical issues, shortage of food and the constant threat of being run over.

A way to solve this issue is more funds for neuterings- we have been seeing too many sick kittens and too many cats getting run over. This is a way to keep numbers manageable so that they are less likely to be regarded as pests and become poisoned- this results in them having an extremely agonizing death. Neutering also avoids infections in mother cats. This will also help cats with white fur as they are more likely to suffer from skin cancer after being exposed in the sun for too long in the constant summer heat.

Our sanctuaries and fosterers are struggling with lack of donations and resources for vet services, medicines and food in which we also need more funds. In order to keep the cats off the streets, we are constantly working in getting them adopted but since numbers are high, we are also not having enough space to keep them and we do not have enough money to continue supporting this.

Strays need our help because we are taking their habitats with our constant building proposals. Please help us give a voice to the voiceless!
