Minimum Wage. A Change Is Needed.

Third World countries are countries which are not developed, especially economically. I am a 14 year old boy, living in India, a so called "superpower". Many people ask why is India a third world country, well here's the answer= Corruption, lack of infrastructure, poverty in rural areas, poor tax collection rates, and very less wage for all workers. The minimum wage for a day is just ₹272.19 and if you don't know, its equal to 3.73 USD.

The current situation in India due to lack of money is: 7 average suicides per day, totaled to 2,550 suicides per year. Lack of productivity by workers, not enough money to feed/take care of hygiene for the whole family.

I personally feel that the minimum wage for all workers should be more than ₹400 per day in my country. This step will bring a lot of change in my country by decreasing suicide rates due to lack of money, stimulate consumer spending, help businesses' bottom lines, and would also increase worker productivity. It would also boost the overall economy by generating increased consumer demand.
