General Santos City is now on the verge in losing an artifact of one of its history, the “Dadiangas” tree. This shrub is one of the roots that made Gensan as how it is today.
With only a few shrubs left here in Gensan and only one left in Plaza Heneral Santos, this petition aims to bring back the popularity of the “Dadiangas” tree. Its popularity will bring back what made the city called “Dadiangas”. It will give awareness of the shrub and its importance to the city’s history.
But in order to restore its popularity, the shrub needs to increase its population that’s why this petition also includes to increase the population of the “Dadiangas” tree not only too restore its popularity but also to prevent losing an artefact of the city’s history. And with the popularity of the shrub, it will also increase the number of tourist in the city. It will also help to spread the history of how Gensan was once known as “Dadiangas”. This petition’s purpose is to retain a part of the city’s history.
