The decision to close Mills has been made behind closed doors. We are here because we value truth and transparency. We are here because the Mills community deserves honest leaders who will fight for us.

We cannot lose Mills because of this administration’s mismanagement, and without any basic transparency. IF our leaders had done their jobs, we would not be here. IF they were acting in good faith, there would be no secrecy.

These are the “leaders” who:

-Fired 7 tenured professors under a failed financial stabilization plan

-Lowered tuition, which raised prices for current students, even driving some out

-Deliberately stopped recruiting out-of-state and international students

-Never ran a broad fundraising campaign to save the school

Why should we believe they have tried everything? Why should we believe this closure is inevitable? And why should those who have failed our school get to negotiate its future, with Northeastern University or anywhere else? 

Mills students deserve better.
