Stop the building of Coppull housing estate and preserve the land.
Why this petition matters
The aim of this petition is to stop the construction of 67 new build homes on the land to the west of Darlington Street in Coppull and to preserve the village's beautiful green space.
After years of speculation, we've today received the proposed site plans from Miller Homes. In order to build these 67 homes, they plan to cut down the surrounding trees, knock down the vicarage and build across almost all of the land, meaning that all of the greenery and wildlife in that area will be destroyed. Furthermore, there is only one access point in and out of this proposed new housing estate, which is going to cause traffic chaos in the village that the infrastructure is not designed to handle. The roads around the nearby local primary school will become much more hazardous with constant traffic passing by, and residents in the surrounding areas will be heavily affected.
If these construction plans go ahead, it'll turn this village into a chaotic nightmare for the residents and I would really appreciate any support in trying to stop it. Please help by signing this petition to oppose the construction of these houses. Let's preserve our much loved green spaces, and keep our families and fellow village residents safe. Thank you!
