Updates on the Mill Creek Fish Lake Bike Trail that children used to walk through to get to school in the 50’s-70’s, that we hope to recreate legally for everyone to enjoy.

Hi guys! I just met with Tom Sharp. He gave me a tour of the town. Did you know we used to have 3 gas stations on 875?!?! We also had a store and a barber shop!!! 

When the highschool was still up and running the kids used to take a trail from Mill Creek down to Fish Lake, thus where this plan started.

Before the Covid 19 pandemic the Mill Creek Community Lions Club reached out to the county planner, the owners of the marsh on on 200 south, and some community members to start a paved bike trail from Mill Creek to Fish Lake. We are trying to start that back up but we REALLY need positive feedback from the community. We are having a meeting at the Fish Lake Fish Lake Library on Saturday, April 9th at 10 AM CST. PLEASE come and show your support. 

Some reasons this would be great for the community:

-A safe place for kids, families, and adults to safely exercise, bike, walk, run, roller blade, etc. 
-A safe, non car reliant, way to get into town. 
-Will bring money to Fish Lake’s businesses. 
-Increased property value. 
-Connect 2 communities.
-Put Fish Lake and Mill Creek on the map.
