Save the last wolves of Norway from our government!

Save the last wolves of Norway from our government!
The Issue
Scandal: 47 of only 65 remaining wolves in Norway are sentenced to death by the Norwegian government. A wildlife tragedy!
Wolves are a vital part of Norwegian wildlife, and have roamed freely for many years. Today there are only about 65 remaining due to excessive hunting. The government has decided to sentence 47 of these wolves to death in an attempt to shield livestock from wolf attacks. This means 70% of an already critically endangered species is set to be slaughtered. Norwegian authorities issue licences to keep predator populations under control and to protect livestock. As many as 11,571 Norwegians in 2015 registered for licences to hunt wolves, which makes it the favourite target to hunt, despite there only being around 65 animals left in the whole country.
Considering farm animals on pasture is more likely to be killed by parasites, poisoned plants, human errors, illnesses or injuries than any predator, this eradication policy is not only ridiculous, but certainly not the solution to this problem. Norway is now among the countries in the world that most likely treat critically endangered wild animals poorest. The decision is also an insult to the vast majority of Norwegians citizens who wants to preserve the wolf, not drive it further towards extinction.
Animal rights activists and nonprofit organizations are working hard and is desperate to change this insane decision. If the government refuse to protect them, who will? Enough is enough!! Please take a moment and sign this petition to show the government exactly how many people are against this atrociousness, before it's too late..
Thank you!
