In the Mililani town community, construction on the Kipapa Gulch Bridge has been underway for several years now and has created traffic and contraflow that has proven to be a rising issue in the area. The construction begins in the early morning and continues throughout the day, causing people to have to sit through traffic or drive up to mauka (upper part of Mililani) and take the cutoff leading to the freeway. It is needless to say that the construction is a major inconvenience for the people of Mililani. The traffic caused by construction is the most pressing issue because of its location, side effects, and hours of operation, but this can be remedied by creating an online petition to change the hours of operation to only being active at night.
