Success - we reached over 1000 signatures!

Thank you everyone who has supported our petition to make the streets safer for our children and the wider community around St John's School, Sevenoaks. 

We are delighted to announce that together with the paper version of this petition we have reached over 1000 signatures!

We have notified Kent County Council and we have submitted the petition, hence it is now closed. 

Due to the fantastic support of so many local residents from Sevenoaks and beyond, we will be able to speak about the need for traffic calming measures around the school at the Kent Joint Transportation Board on Tuesday 10th September. We hope the ground swell of support will encourage KCC to respond by committing to take forward our suggestions for 20mph and other safety measures. 

We also succeeded in improving the signage on the road, which now displays 'slow' on either side of the road as you approach the school.
