NO to Green alliance with Ontario Liberals

The Issue

We, the voters of Guelph, elected you in a landslide on June 7, 2018 to represent the GREEN PARTY OF ONTARIO in the provincial legislature! If we wanted a Liberal representative we would have chosen him/her over you! If you decide to go ahead and join their caucus to give them official party status, we will be looking elsewhere for our vote in 2022. We trusted your judgment Mike, and we are confident you will make the right decision to represent the people of Guelph and all of Ontario by respecting our choice to send a Green MPP to Queen's Park.

“I want to be clear that under no circumstances will I be part of any arrangement that compromises my independence in the legislature or the identity of the Green Party of Ontario. The people of Guelph elected a Green MPP, and I will serve as a Green MPP. Greens do politics differently. We are open to cooperation with any party on issues that benefit people, but that does not include “joining forces” with the Liberals or any other party.”
