Save our animals by making Dallas a no-kill city

Save our animals by making Dallas a no-kill city
The Issue
In the city of Dallas, over 16,000 dogs and cats are killed each year.
Like many of you, my family has always adopted animals from shelters. I have two beautiful rescue dogs named Olive and Caddo, and one rescue cat named Mika. Families around Dallas can do as much as possible to save these animals, but sometimes we need the support of our city leaders to make a real change.
Austin, our neighbor to the south has become the largest no-kill city in the U.S. Just four years ago, 44% of the animals going into the Austin Animal Center lost their lives. Today, Austin is saving 91% of its homeless dogs and cats.
Let's not wait another year for this to happen while thousands of animals lose their lives. Let's start a change here and now.
