GoodLife has decided to close more of their "JUMP!" Child Minding services across Canada and now in Woodbridge, Ontario the next one to go is the room at the GoodLife’s Interchange located at 90 Interchange Way, Concord, ON L4K 5Z8 on January 2019.

GOODLIFE's POSITION

Although GoodLife issued the following statement, we have yet to find ONE parent, gym member or staff that was included in the consultation process of the closure of JUMP at the Interchange location:

 “In the end, since this child minding service, which is not within GoodLife’s core business, has had limited demand, the decision had been made to discontinue the service.” Jane Riddell (President & COO)

  GOODLIFE also states the following on their website:

GOODLIFE MEMBERS POSITION

Communities are characterized by couples and families with young children, including moms and their children who regularly use the JUMP! It’s what makes our clubs a very special place!

The majority of members with young children joined Goodlife Fitness because it offers child minding for a fee for the service. If child minding was not available, in most cases these parent members would not have an opportunity to workout and keep up a healthy lifestyle. This is a MAJOR CONCERN!!

The JUMP at GoodLife helps the parents keep up an active and healthy lifestyle. GoodLife’s decision to close JUMP locations really doesn't fit with their company’s brand promise that “everybody needs to live the good life."  Closing JUMP shows that GoodLife does not welcome parents and their children.  Also, it seems is clear that GoodLife is out of tough with what their members need as JUMP staff provide a vital service to numerous parents who aspire to be healthy role models for their children. 

 WHAT ARE WE ASKING?

We are asking GoodLife to RECONSIDER their decision and leave the JUMP program in place.
