Allow Medical Marijauna for people in Missouri on Probation/Parole

Allow Medical Marijauna for people in Missouri on Probation/Parole
The Issue
As of December 6th 2018 in the state of Missouri the voters voted in Amendment 2 and the law took effect. As of right now October 26th 2019 we have 20000 patients licensed in the state of Missouri to use possess and cultivate medical marijuana with the Missouri medical marijuana patient card. This allows Missouri's residents to take their medical care back into their own hands with a safer alternative to pharmaceutical drugs that lead to severe side effects, addiction, and even worse death. Since the medical marijuana law has taken effect. People on Probation and Parole are not being allowed to partake in the medical marijuana program due to fear of being incarcerated due to legally medicating. Probation and Parole is supposed to make the offender show accountability and responsibilities. And I believe that if a person on probation and parole followed Missouri's guidelines on obtaining a medical marijuana card and certification from the doctor that they should not be denied their right to medicate under their constitutional right of amendment 2 voted in by the Missouri voters. We must make a change and we must do it now.
