Jevon Barrett started this petition to Senator Mike Crapo and

The hunting of wolves in Idaho has increased and has now become legal when in the beginning of May the law, SB1211, was passed by Idaho governor Brad Little. This new law was supported by ranchers and others due to the fact that the ranchers claimed that the wolves harmed their livestock and hunters claimed that the wolves were thinning out the elk populations to much, this law made it so hunters could kill a whole 90% of the wolf population. This could affect the food chain and recently many wolves have been hunted all around. This is important to me because it is irresponsible to say nothing. In my area I have coywolf's (wolf-coyote mix) and they don't do anything to harm anyone and neither do they thin down the animal population. To fix this we want to make it known to the people that passed this bill that it is too far to take it to kill a whole 90% of all of the wolves in Idaho. Ranchers also have other reasons to make it known that they support this, such as the fact that they make more money if wolves are gone since they have more livestock to sell.

Please sign this petition if you have any similar agreements with what I have said. Wolves are a important part of the food chain and I believe that they are necessary in the balance of it, thank you.
