Install lifts at West Hampstead tube station

The Issue

WHAT is urging Transport for London and specifically Mike Brown, head of London Underground, to provide a lift at West Hampstead tube station.

The other two stations in West Hampstead will soon both have lifts. The Thameslink station has lifts already and so will the Overground station when it is rebuilt in the near future. The Tube is the missing link causing distress and inconvenience to the disabled, to travellers with suitcases and parents with buggies.

West Hampstead is already a major transport interchange; current and anticiapted plans for development means that all its stations are going to be used even more intensively in the future. It is vital that the tube is as accessbile as our other stations.

We urge TfL to make this provision as soon as possible.
