The greyhound ban has been the key moral achievement of the Baird Government. With it, NSW became a national leader - standing up for what is right.  Now the Daily Telegraph and other tabloids are trying to push the government into caving in to the demands of the morally reprehensible greyhound racing 'industry'.

The clear fact is: this is an industry which is premised upon profiting from the misery of thousands of dogs.  The costs generated by greyhound racing do not take account of the senseless deaths of hundreds of unwanted puppies are the killing of dogs after their profitability fades.  Nor does it take account of the 'game' animals killed as a part of the training of the dogs.

This is an industry that has proven itself incapable of self regulating and which, because of it's constant lies and core and intrinsic cruelty is not able to be properly governed externally.

These are the facts found by the Special Commission report.  Lobbying by industry interests does not change those facts. 

This is a petition to tell Mike Baird and the NSW Government to stay strong on the issue and keep the ban on greyhound racing in NSW.
