Standardized testing does NOT improve teaching and learning. PERIOD.

Even worse, forcing students to endure the state's standardized testing during a global pandemic is:

1. insensitive to the social and emotional turmoil that many students and their families are facing

2. oblivious to the fact that the stress students are under will only be exacerbated by standardized testing

3. callous regarding inequities existing in CT that are ever widening during this pandemic
