Our opposition to the proposed crematorium is growing stronger, but we need your continued support. The Middletown Planning Board hearing is Wednesday, August 6 at 7pm. It is crucial that we have a strong presence at the meeting. We must show the town and the cemetery that we will not allow this toxic, dangerous facility to threaten our children and our neighborhoods. We are fighting for what matters most: the safety and well-being of our children and community. Your presence is vital.

At the last Planning Board meeting in June, our legal representation with our expert environmental witness knock it out of the park!  First, the lead counselor, Stuart Lieberman did an excellent job of cross-examination and poking holes in the cemetery’s argument. Next, Irv Cohen, with over fifty years of experience in environmental sciences, exposed the dangerous threats that would result if a crematorium were built in Middletown. Together, Stu and Irv fought hard for the residents of Middletown and made a very strong argument against this toxic plan.

However, expert testimony and legal support are expensive. While we’ve made great progress in raising funds, we still need more to cover these critical costs.
