Daniella Levene started this petition to Middlesex University and

Neighbours, users of the Grove, NW4, anyone who cares about wildlife and the environment.

Yesterday, scrubland in the Grove was once again needlessly and brutally flailed, loads of mature trees were damaged, blackberries that families and wildlife benefit from decimated (we have bats, hedgehogs, owls and stag beetles!). They (the uni or the council, neither has claimed responsibility yet) did this in May as well, eradicating wild flowers.  I complained to the council then and was told they would be more sensitive when maintaining the area. I have continually complained to the uni about them mowing wildflowers areas, they do this for 'neatness' not even for amenity. They also use glyphosate .

Apparently, I'm the only one who has complained, I know I'm not the only one who cares about our local environment and community. We're so lucky to have the Grove, please sign and help protect it for future generations. Thank you.
