Microsoft: we desperately need a "decline but keep" Outlook meeting response option!
The Issue
It's simple.
When we decline a meeting, we often want to keep the meeting instance on our calendar for future reference. The workarounds today - replying as "tentative" and including a note about actually declining, or declining and then digging through deleted items - are insufficient.
We propose the following new, fourth meeting reply option: "decline but keep". This option would reply to the inviter as a decline, but it would leave the meeting on the invitee's calendar for their future reference, and in the "show as free" state (maybe with some visual differentiation in the calendar).
Microsoft, you're a massive, super smart technology company, and this feature is in high demand. Please, help improve GLOBAL efficiency - and our collective sanity - with this one weird trick!
